
Depart from Windhoek and travel north via Okahandja on to Okonjima Lodge, home of the AFRICAT Foundation. Activities here include a nature hike, a Leopard (or Cheetah) excursion, viewing nocturnal animals at the night hide as well as 'birding' at the bird hide. Dinner. Breakfast
Early morning rise to the Lion Lapa to see the resident Lions and then on to take part in the Bushman Trail. Return for a late breakfast and then head on towards Etosha, one of the biggest game reserves in Africa. Accommodation will be at Etosha Aoba Lodge or similar.
If clients choose the Guided option, all meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) will be included. If on a Self-Drive, then Breakfast and Dinner will only be included.
Using the lodge outside the park as a base, enter Etosha for game drives and game viewing at numerous waterholes. Accommodation will be at Etosha Aoba Lodge or similar. It is not uncommon to see up to 7 different species of animals drinking together at a waterhole, a safe haven from Lions during the day!
If clients are on the Guided option, all meals will be included (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). If on the Self-Drive option then Breakfast and Dinner will only be included.
The whole day is a game drive heading west to Okaukuejo and then you will exit the park. The route will go west travelling along the southern edge of the Etosha Pan where there are many waterholes where the animals congregate in large numbers. Accommodation will be at one of the Ongava Lodges.
If clients are on the Guided option, then all meals will be included (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). If on the Self-Drive option then only Breakfast and Dinner will be included.
From Etosha, you will travel southwest to the Damaraland area to arrive at the lodge mid-afternoon. On route, you will stop over at the 'Petrified Forest' and after a long day's drive; enjoy a nature hike in the afternoon.
Accommodation will be at Mowani Lodge, which is set between granite outcrops; this is definitely a lovely setting for the night. If clients are on the Guided option, then all meals will be included (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). If on the Self-Drive option, Breakfast and Dinner will only be included.
Visit the Twyfelfontein rock engravings and paintings, Namibia's 'open air museum', before heading south to Uis and then the Skeleton Coast. The landscape changes from mopani vegetation (semi-desert) and granite hills, to wide open landscapes as one approaches the Skeleton Coast.
Visit the Cape Cross Nature Reserve, home to a breeding colony of over 100 000 Cape Fur Seals. Overnight at Cape Cross Lodge. If clients are on the Guided option, then all meals will be included (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). If on the Self-Drive option, Breakfast and Dinner will only be included.
A full day will be spent here along the Skeleton Coast with a half-day visit to Walvis Bay to visit the lagoon and bird sanctuary, a RAMSA site and National Heritage (over 200 000 birds). The rest of the day is free to spend in Swakopmund or to join one of the optional activities on offer.
These activities range from scenic flights and Dolphin boat cruises to dune boarding and dune 4x4 quad biking. These 2 nights will be spent in a hotel in Swakopmund, the Hansa Hotel or similar. If clients are on the Guided option, Breakfast will only be included. Clients, who are on the Self-Drive option, will also only have Breakfast.
Free day before transfer to the airport. Breakfast.
