If your desired holiday is available, we shall make a provisional booking over the telephone or by e-mail and this will be valid for one week. If lack of availability prevents us from confirming the exact holiday you request, we will offer an alternative for your consideration. Single bookings are welcome, but cannot be confirmed until the required minimum of two persons per safari is reached. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and must be authorized by all persons on the booking list, if booking on their behalf.
Payment By Credit CardAll payments made using MasterCard or Visa will carry a 2% surcharge and American Express a 3% surcharge All payments made through Bank Transfer are free from any charges.
Booking Form and DepositWithin the option period, we must receive your signed booking form together with a nonrefundable deposit of £200 per person; otherwise your option will lapse. If you are booking within 60 days of departure, full payment will be required immediately. We have the right to refuse to accept your booking.
Confirmation InvoiceFollowing receipt of your booking form and deposit, we shall issue you a confirmation invoice showing the balance due for your holiday. A contract will exist when we issue our confirmation invoice. It is your responsibility to check the confirmation invoice carefully and to let us know immediately in the event of any error.
Final PaymentThe final balance is due 60 days before departure. Bookings for which full payment is not received when due, will lapse.
Changes to Confirmed BookingsOnce your booking has been confirmed, changes, where possible, will incur an administration fee of £25 per person per change.
Transfers of BookingsIf you wish to transfer your booking to another person, who in our discretion qualifies to participate in the holiday, an administration fee of £25 per person will be charged for the transfer. Cancellation fees will not be charged, provided reasonable notice is given.
CancellationsShould you wish to cancel your holiday after you have paid in full, this must be confirmed in writing. Such notification will only be deemed to have been given on receipt of your letter, since we can only act on receipt. A cancellation charge will be payable, calculated on the basis set out below. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges from your insurers. In the rare event that we cancel your booking, all monies will immediately be refunded in full, whereupon our liability will cease.
If We Change Your Arrangements
In the unlikely event of us changing your holiday arrangements, such changes are likely to be minor and we will have absolute discretion as to whether or not to notify you. On group holidays we reserve the right to change and substitute hotels, as necessary. If a major change occurs, we shall notify you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before departure. Provided it does not arise from circumstances amounting to 'force majeure' (see definition below), you will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements, taking another available holiday from us or cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund. If this change occurs after the final balance has been paid, you will also be entitled to compensation of £10 per person (46 to 60 days before departure), £20 per person (15 to 45 days), or £30 per person (0 to 14 days). In the event that we cancel your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control (such as 'force majeure'), we shall offer you an alternative holiday of comparable standard or refund all monies paid. In such cases, we regret that compensation will not be made. 'Force majeure' means unusual and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the consequence of which neither we nor our suppliers could reasonably avoid, including, but not limited to, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity (actual or threatened), acts of God, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes of schedules or operational decisions of transport providers, industrial disputes, closure or congestion of airports, power failure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, epidemic or health risk, level of water, or adverse weather conditions.
Once we have accepted payment for your holiday in full, the cost of your holiday cannot be increased. However until then, we reserve the right to increase the price in the event of increases of more than 2% of the holiday price due to adverse exchange rate movements or Government action (such as an increase in VAT). Alternatively, we may change your accommodation to avoid a price increase. If this change exceeds 10% of the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid, except for any insurance premiums and amendment charges. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the revised invoice. Due to financial commitments made in advance, no refund will be made in the event of Sterling strengthening against the South African Rand.
FlightsThe costs of all international and local flights, including airport departure taxes, are excluded from the holiday price. These need to be purchased separately. We cannot be held responsible for missed flights or any other flight delays. Carriage by air is subject to the airline's conditions of carriage and is governed by international convention, which may limit liability in respect of claims for injury, delay and a loss of baggage. In the event of delayed departure, the airline will be responsible for making arrangements for refreshments and, if necessary, overnight accommodation. However, if these delays have led to onward flight connections being missed, the carrier is not responsible for any costs involved or for any unused holiday services, though they will offer a remedy, subject to their conditions of carriage.
InsurancePlease ask at the time of booking if you require Insurance. We will be happy to assist you in your search.
Health RequirementsNo compulsory vaccinations are required, but preventative tablets for malaria are strongly recommended, as you will be visiting a Game Park. These can be obtained without prescription from a chemist. You must inform us of any medical problems or disabilities at the time of booking.
