Fynbos Ridge Country House & Cottages - Plettenburg Bay South Africa (ECO FRIENDLY)

Fynbos Ridge is situated in the warm heart of the Garden Route, renowned for its mountains, lakes, forests, lagoons and beaches. It is a paradise for those with a love of nature and a sense of adventure. Plettenberg Bay with the best beaches in the Garden Route is less than 10 minutes drive from Fynbos Ridge.

Over a period of years there has been extensive restoration of the fynbos to it's natural state by undertaking a burning schedule and removing all invasive alien vegetation. Fynbos is a collective term which describes the indigenous vegetation of most of the Southern Cape and includes well-known plant species such as proteas and ericas. In 2001 our efforts on behalf of the environment were recognised when The Western Cape Nature Conservation Board proclaimed Fynbos Ridge as a Private Nature Reserve. Many birds, butterflies and small mammals have now made Fynbos Ridge their home.

The Country House is on the same property as Fynbos Ridge Cottages. It is a large Cape Dutch style guesthouse which has 4 double luxury bedrooms and 1 double superior luxury bedroom all with full en suite bathrooms. Full breakfasts and dinners by arrangement are served in the alfresco dining room.
Both the formal and informal lounges have log fireplaces and there is a long outdoor patio where guests can enjoy mountain views whilst having their breakfasts and dinners. Dinners by arrangement.
